Scramble addresses clichéd representations of women in film through the lens of food: a woman standing at her refrigerator seemingly about to prepare a meal. Ultimately this tradition is subverted through humorous structures that draw attention to filmic tropes and create new meanings.

The treatment of vegetables and meat reflect the ever-present male gaze, as the camera’s focus shifts and lingers over the foods' anatomy. Yet this time the female possesses the active gaze and dominant role, as she reduces inert foods to their 'parts.'
